Position Summary:

The IT Systems & Data Engineer is a hybrid role combining remote end-user IT support, network infrastructure assistance, and programming/data automation. Based in the Philippines and reporting to the IT Manager, this role ensures smooth IT operations while also supporting engineering and business automation projects. The IT Systems & Data Engineer gathers, interprets, and visualizes data across multiple platforms, helps automate workflows, supports analysis for engineering initiatives, and ensures stable IT and network systems for staff.

This role will also be a key contributor to the implementation of a new ERP/MES solution, helping replace existing platforms (Netsuite, Prodsmart, QCBD) and supporting integration across business and engineering functions.

Note: This role requires working U.S. hours to align with global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide remote tech support to end-users: troubleshooting PCs, software, accounts, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with maintaining and monitoring network infrastructure (routers, switches, connectivity) remotely.
• Escalate complex IT or network issues to higher-level support when required.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple systems to support decision-making and engineering analysis.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Manage and optimize databases, ensuring integrity and availability.
• Support the implementation of a new ERP/MES platform to replace existing systems, ensuring smooth adoption and integration.
• Write and maintain scripts (Python, Perl, Shell, etc.) to automate data workflows and reporting.
• Provide programming and automation support for engineering and operations projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical/science field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT systems support, data engineering, or programming.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least two database management systems.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Perl, or Shell).
• Familiarity with ERP and production systems (e.g., Netsuite, Prodsmart, QCBD).
• Experience providing remote IT support and assisting with network infrastructure.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, able to assist users effectively.
• Willingness and ability to work U.S. hours.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ERP/MES implementation in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Background in manufacturing, quality control, or ERP systems.
• Strong grounding in mathematics, statistics, or science, with the ability to apply these skills to automation and analysis.
• Knowledge of data security best practices and governance.
