Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour
Job description:
About the Role:
We are a rapidly growing, digital-first reproductive healthcare company looking for an experienced, detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our entire IT infrastructure. This role is part of a layered IT team, supported by an on-site IT specialist, a US-based network support team, and a Managed Service Provider (MSP) for large-scale projects.
This is a critical, remote position that requires dedication to the Pacific Standard Time (PST) workday to support our core operations. Beyond full-scope systems administration, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for our employees in the Philippines, handling all remote support needs, from hardware setup and issuance to ongoing end-user assistance.
If you have 10+ years of deep technical expertise, a strong focus on current best practices, and enjoy direct, high-quality interaction with users at every level, we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively on the management and maintenance of all servers, network infrastructure (VPN, firewalls, routing), and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Design, implement, and monitor security measures, including intrusion detection, vulnerability management, and access controls, to protect company data and systems.
- Provide end-to-end IT support and administration for our Philippines team, including remotely configuring, issuing, and managing employee computer setups, and resolving complex technical issues. You will be responsible for device issuance, recovery, and storage, in collaboration with HR.
- Administer user accounts and access controls across all company systems, ensuring compliance with security policies and efficient onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Manage and troubleshoot SaaS applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, and specific healthcare tools) and internal corporate applications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and support knowledge bases.
- Conduct regular system performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure scalability and reliability as the company grows.
- Collaborate directly with employees from entry-level staff to executive leadership to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a professional and friendly manner.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to recommend strategic improvements to the IT environment.
Who You Are:
- 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Engineer, or equivalent role, with a focus on fast-paced, high-growth organizations.
- Demonstrable and current expertise in cloud infrastructure management (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP), modern networking, and enterprise-level operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- A deep understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; you enjoy providing support, building rapport with users, and translating technical issues into clear, non-technical explanations for employees at all levels.
- Proven experience providing high-quality remote support for both hardware and software to a diverse, geographically separated user base.
- Expert in PowerShell or comparable scripting languages for automation and administrative tasks.
- Comfortable working 100% remote and dedicated to the Pacific Standard Time (PST) workday schedule.
- Highly organized, meticulous, and proactive; you don't wait for problems to arise—you fix potential issues before they impact the business.
