Job Description

Work Engagement: 6 months initial contract (renewal/conversion is possible, depends to performance)

Offer: Php70,000 - Php85,000 monthly salary + HMO (Day 1) + 13th month pay (Prorated) + Leave Credits after the 3rd month

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide dedicated support for front-office and back-office trading applications within a fast-paced financial services environment. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for users, ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical trading systems while coordinating closely with application, infrastructure, and vendor support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-line technical support for front-office and back-office trading applications.
  • Monitor application health, identify issues, and proactively respond to incidents affecting business operations.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related issues reported by traders, operations teams, and business users.
  • Escalate complex issues to development, infrastructure, or vendor support teams and track them through to resolution.
  • Communicate system status, incident updates, and resolution progress to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Perform application health checks, system monitoring, and operational support activities to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Support application deployments, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Maintain incident logs, problem records, and operational documentation in accordance with support procedures.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams regarding server, network, database, and connectivity-related issues impacting trading applications.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing, business continuity activities, and production support initiatives.
  • Assist with user onboarding, access management, and application configuration requests.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance support efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting front-office and/or back-office trading applications within a financial services, investment banking, brokerage, or capital markets environment.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes, trading workflows, and financial markets operations.
  • Experience with application monitoring, incident management, and production support.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database querying for troubleshooting and data validation.
  • Knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and adhering to SLA-driven support environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business users and technical teams.
