Office Beacon is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Associate to join our growing IT Operations team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical troubleshooting skills, hardware management experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced support environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain hardware asset inventory and tracking systems
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory databases regularly
• Track and monitor devices assigned to employees
• Assist in conducting physical inventory audits
• Set up, configure, and deploy new PCs and other hardware equipment
• Troubleshoot hardware-related concerns and replace defective components as needed
• Handle deployment requests for additional hardware devices
• Prepare and maintain hardware accountability documentation
• Implement and support system data backup procedures
• Develop and maintain support documentation, troubleshooting guides, and SOPs
• Update internal knowledge base articles and technical documentation
• Ensure timely ticket resolution, proper issue escalation, and closure of unresolved concerns
• Review and verify clearance forms of resigned employees prior to release
• Monitor device lifecycle, warranties, repairs, and replacements
• Respond to email follow-ups, technical escalations, and support inquiries
• Assist Systems Administrators and Network Administrators with IT-related projects
• Provide support for escalated end-user technical concerns
• Troubleshoot and assist with minor network-related issues while escalating major incidents to the Network Team when necessary
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in IT Support or a related role
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting and deployment
• Proficient in Windows Operating System
• Basic knowledge of MAC OS and LAN/WAN networking
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
• Willing to work on graveyard and rotating shifts
