The Solutions Engineer is responsible for implementing, configuring, supporting, and enhancing approved IT and digital solutions across 1RE. The role translates solution designs into working systems, workflows, configurations, and integrations that support operations, NOCC, and corporate business units.
The position focuses on execution and delivery, working closely with the Solutions Architect Supervisor, Infrastructure & Operations, Cyber & OT Security, and Project & Change teams to ensure solutions are implemented correctly, securely, and in alignment with architecture standards.
This role enables effective digital transformation and solution delivery by executing solution designs, supporting system integrations, and ensuring stable operation of implemented digital solutions.
- Implements approved solutions based on architecture designs
- Configures applications, platforms, and workflows
- Supports system integrations and data flows
- Performs solution testing, validation, and UAT support
APPLICATION & SOLUTION SUPPORT
- Provides operational support for implemented solutions
- Troubleshoots solution-related issues and coordinates fixes
- Performs minor enhancements and configuration changes
COORDINATION & COLLABORATION
- Works with Infrastructure & Operations for system dependencies
- Coordinates with Cyber & OT Security to apply security controls
- Supports Project & Change activities during deployments
DOCUMENTATION & STANDARDS
- Documents configurations, workflows, and solution guides
- Follows architecture standards and solution guidelines
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Identifies improvement opportunities in existing solutions
- Learns new tools and platforms aligned with transformation roadmap
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Platform certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, ERP modules) are an advantage
- Professional:
- 2–4 years experience in solution implementation, application support, or systems support
Hands-on experience with:
- Application configuration and support
- Workflow automation or low-code platforms
- System integration concepts (APIs, data exchange)
- Experience supporting operations, plants, or enterprise systems is an advantage
