Nityo Infotech is looking for an experienced IT Senior Data Engineer to join a growing team focused on modernizing enterprise data platforms. If you have a strong background in cloud-based data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and big data migration, we'd love to hear from you!
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Good working knowledge of SQL
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience with Snowflake is also welcome
- Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Azure
- Experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, data modeling, and data governance
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize automated data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based data models
- Support large-scale big data migration initiatives while ensuring data accuracy, scalability, and performance
- Develop ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and analytics teams to deliver data solutions that support strategic initiatives
- Design, develop, and maintain datamarts and customized data extraction solutions
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement preventive improvements
- Document technical specifications, data workflows, schemas, and operational runbooks
- Partner with Product Owners, Data Architects, and Data Scientists to build reliable and scalable data infrastructure
- Drive continuous improvement of data engineering tools, automation, and best practices
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality results within deadlines
