Job Summary
As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of applications supporting core business operations and consumer-facing platforms. Your role includes overseeing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of high-quality results.
Role Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations
- Lead and manage software development projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring the successful deployment of applications for core business operations and consumer engagement
- Ensure projects follow established development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business units, engineering teams, and third-party vendors
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor issues to avoid delays or failures
- Deliver projects tailored to banking industry needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and integration with financial systems
- Foster a collaborative environment and support team members in achieving project objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Competencies:
- Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in project management methodologies for IT and software development and mobile applications, including Agile and Waterfall
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of SDLC processes and software development best practices. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
- Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead diverse teams and manage cross-functional collaboration effectively
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Analytical mindset to identify risks, resolve challenges, and make data-driven decisions
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written, to convey technical and project details to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree graduate
- At least 8 years of experience in managing software development projects in banking and financial service sector (wealth, treasury, trust, cash management, switch, ATM, etc.)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge and exposure on SDLC methodologies and tools
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications is an advantage
- Candidate must be willing to work in Ortigas or Makati
