Position Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing complex and high-impact projects simultaneously. This role drives successful project execution, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic and tactical goals. The position supports Advanced Energy's global ERP SAP S/4HANA implementation by leading the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Forecast to Plan (FTP) workstreams, to include status reporting, RAIDD log creation and maintenance, team leadership, aligning team resources, and communicating project interdependencies in a complex, global environment.
Responsibilities
- Project manages IBP and FTP workstreams in day-to-day execution activities until the ERP implementation concludes, then is assigned to other TBD initiatives by the IT PMO.
- Maintains workstream-level plans, milestones, and dependencies.
- Leads completion of JIRA-related tasks; ensuring task hygiene and assigned team members provide timely statuses.
- Prepares weekly and monthly status reports, including schedule, scope, and risk updates.
- Tracks and follows-up with assigned team members on open actions, risks, issues, dependency, and decisions (RAIDD) logs.
- Manages SharePoint as the central ERP document repository, ensuring proper version control and access governance.
- Coordinates and leads meetings across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones; captures and distributes meeting recordings, notes, decisions, and action items.
- Serves as a communication bridge between global teams, system integrators, and stakeholders.
- Identifies, documents, and communicates opportunities to improve processes.
- Proactively collaborates with and develops strong relationships among AE team members, vendors, and partners.
- Addresses project changes as they arise, often proactively, by altering project processes in accordance with project, departmental, and/or organizational compliance frameworks.
- Conducts effective meeting management using agendas and minutes to ensure the flow of information and progress.
- Consistently on the lookout for ways to increase efficiency and reduce rework.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Info Systems (or equivalent).
- 3+ years of experience leading multiple projects, delivering systems and business change to organizations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention-to-detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across different levels and departments within an organization.
- Ability to gather and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and/or develop solutions to keep projects on budget and on time.
- Experienced in implementing change management strategies, ensuring stakeholders and teams are trained and adjusted to new processes and systems.
- Effectively communicates with stakeholders and executive/senior management, via written or oral, to provide insight on project status, concerns, etc.
- Motivated to continue training on project management skillset, as well as emerging technologies, e.g., AI.
- History of navigating global, cross-functional teams and time zone constraints.
- Strong working knowledge of project management/organization and data presentation tools: Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Office/Teams/SharePoint.
- Experience with vendor management and third-party contractors.
Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- PROSCI Change Management certified.
- Agile certifications, e.g.,
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
- Certified Product Owner (CSPO).
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
