Job Overview

The IT Project Management Specialist (PMO) is responsible for supporting the management and monitoring of the organization's IT project portfolio. The role focuses on project performance tracking, portfolio management, project documentation, PMO policies, and coordination with project teams and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with both technical teams and business users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor project benchmarks, metrics, and performance indicators for IT projects.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date information across the IT project portfolio.
  • Facilitate the inclusion of new projects and programs into the project portfolio.
  • Support project portfolio planning, including project changes, transitions, and closure activities.
  • Review the project portfolio to ensure alignment with organizational strategies and business priorities.
  • Monitor the flow, completeness, and proper documentation of project-related documents.
  • Develop, prepare, and implement IT Project Management Office (PMO) policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Monitor and review project-related tickets, requests, and action items.
  • Document and assess how IT systems are integrated with business processes.
  • Develop and improve processes based on established policies, ensuring smooth integration with existing workflows and high user adoption.
  • Collaborate with project teams, IT stakeholders, and functional users to gather, validate, and communicate project information.
  • Participate in team planning and initiatives that contribute to the achievement of department objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Project Management, preferably in an IT or business environment.
  • Familiarity with process management, process improvement, problem-solving, and organizational change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent documentation and report preparation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a project team environment.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
