Highly driven and strategic
IT Program Excellence Manager to oversee and optimize vendor delivery performance across multiple programs and delivery channels. This role is responsible for ensuring that external partners meet contractual, operational, and quality expectations while driving continuous improvement, accountability, and alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strong program governance, vendor management expertise, and performance analytics to enable consistent, high-quality delivery outcomes.
What You'll Do
Vendor Performance Management
- Lead end-to-end vendor performance governance across multiple programs and delivery channels (e.g., digital, infrastructure, application delivery, shared services, etc.).
- Define, monitor, and manage KPIs, SLAs, OLAs, and scorecards to evaluate vendor performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, identify gaps, and drive remediation plans with vendors.
- Ensure vendor compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and organizational policies.
Program & Project Oversight
- Manage a portfolio of vendor-led programs/projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and delivery timelines.
- Establish consistent operating rhythms (QBRs, MBRs, governance forums) across all vendor engagements.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and issues across portfolios and implement mitigation strategies.
Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vendor delivery efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Standardize processes, tools, and reporting frameworks across vendors and delivery channels.
- Leverage data analytics and insights to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary interface between internal stakeholders (e.g., business units, PMOs, procurement, finance) and vendors.
- Build strong relationships with senior vendor stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Communicate program health, risks, and performance insights to executive leadership.
Commercial & Contractual Governance
- Partner with procurement and legal teams to support vendor selection, onboarding, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor commercial performance, including cost, invoicing, and value realization.
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, commercial terms, and audit requirements.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify and manage vendor-related risks, including delivery, operational, and compliance risks.
- Ensure vendors meet security, regulatory, and organizational compliance standards.
- Drive escalation management and resolution for critical delivery issues.
What You Need To Have
- 8+ years of experience in program/project management , with strong exposure to vendor or supplier management .
- Proven experience managing multi-vendor environments across diverse delivery channels.
- Strong understanding of contract governance, SLA/KPI frameworks, and performance management models .
- Experience in large-scale, matrixed organizations with complex delivery ecosystems.
- Certifications preferred: PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or equivalent.
- Very good knowledge of the area of the team responsibility, provides conceptual solution to the team members.
- Very good in communication with business teams, skilled in transformation of business requirements to the technical solution.
- Overview of IT technologies, platforms, best practices and trends.
- Vendor Management Expertise – Deep understanding of vendor lifecycle, governance, and performance optimization.
- Program Leadership – Ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical & Data-Driven – Strong ability to interpret performance data and generate actionable insights.
- Communication & Influence – Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Negotiation & Commercial Acumen – Ability to balance cost, quality, and value in vendor engagements.
- Problem-Solving Mindset – Proactive, solution-oriented approach to resolving performance challenges.
