Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee our daily

operations and strategic business direction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the logistics industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of cost reduction and efficiency improvement. They must have experience in sourcing, supplier relationships, and

contract negotiations to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and

services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to optimize performance and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible rates, terms, and conditions.
  • Develop and implement robust contract management processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities for renegotiation or
  • contract optimization.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance and track progress against agreed-upon service levels.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to address issues, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Implement a supplier performance management system to monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Identify and assess potential procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, geopolitical events, and economic fluctuations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.
  • Maintain contingency plans to address unforeseen circumstances and ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain ethical standards and ensure fair practices in procurement processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, including purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate procurement of materials and services.
  • Monitor and report on key procurement metrics, including cost savings and supplier performance.
  • Utilize data analytics to improve procurement efficiency and decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and transportation modes.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in procuring enterprise level hardware and software
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive insights.
  • Knowledge of contract law and supply chain regulations.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
  • Six Sigma Certification
