Global Enterprise Partners are seeking a strategic and delivery-focusedIT Portfolio Manager to join our client in the mining industry to lead and oversee the execution of all IT projects within our portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring that technology initiatives align with business objectives, delivering value through robust governance, prioritization, and resource management.
You will act as the Portfolio Delivery Lead, managing the end-to-end delivery lifecycle across multiple projects and stakeholders. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
This role is fully remote and can be based in India or the Philippines.
Responsibilities
- Governance: Establish and maintain strong governance practices to streamline IT project execution and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Portfolio Planning: Effectively manage and organize the IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business priorities.
- Delivery Oversight: Monitor progress and ensure IT projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build trust and deliver outcomes that meet stakeholder expectations.
- Resource & Financial Management: Optimize resource allocation and budget utilization across projects to maximize efficiency and value.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and strategies for better results.
- Provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships across business and technical teams to ensure collaboration and alignment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT portfolio management or large-scale program/project delivery in a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and ability to enforce standards.
- Excellent leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across diverse teams and geographies.
- Proficiency in portfolio and project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Power BI, ServiceNow).
- Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, ITIL) highly desirable.
- Solid financial management knowledge, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
