IT Operations Intern

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment Join our IT Operations team and develop practical skills in device deployment, hardware troubleshooting, asset management, and IT support while working alongside experienced technology professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Laptop and Desktop Setup, Deployment, and Configuration

• Assist in the preparation, installation, and configuration of laptops and desktop computers
• Install standard company-approved software and applications
• Conduct functionality testing prior to deployment
• Ensure proper documentation and asset tagging of deployed devices

Hardware Troubleshooting and Support

Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic hardware-related issues, including:

• Power failures
• Display and peripheral issues
• Keyboard, mouse, and docking station concerns
• Perform initial troubleshooting before escalation to senior IT staff or vendors
• Replace basic hardware components when required (RAM, storage, peripherals, cables)
• Document reported issues and actions taken

Preventive Maintenance Support

• Clean hardware equipment following IT safety standards
• Verify operating system and application updates are properly installed
• Report aging or faulty equipment for recommendation of replacement

IT Equipment Replacement, Pull-Out, and Redeployment

• Support the replacement of defective or end-of-life IT equipment
• Assist in the pull-out of devices from users, ensuring proper acknowledgment and documentation
• Update asset inventory and track records accordingly

Documentation and Reporting

• Assist in updating IT asset management databases or tracking sheets
• Prepare simple reports on completed tasks and daily activities

Qualifications

• Currently a 3rd or 4th Year BS Information Technology student or enrolled in any technology-related program
• Possesses foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and IT troubleshooting practices
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement
• Available to commence the internship in either October 2026 or January 2027
