Job Description

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst Manager leads the Business Analysis team in delivering high-quality business requirements and solutions across multiple projects. This role ensures consistency in BA practices, drives continuous improvement, and partners closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to achieve project and organizational objectives. The Business Analyst Manager is also responsible for team mentorship, performance management, and ensuring that business analysis activities are executed effectively and efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Business Analysts across various business domains.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and create development plans to enhance BA capabilities
  • Manage team resource allocation and workload distribution to ensure project coverage and balance.
  • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Business Analysis Governance & Quality

  • Define, implement, and maintain BA standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Review and ensure completeness and accuracy of business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Oversee traceability of requirements from definition through testing and deployment.
  • Track progress of BA deliverables and ensure alignment with project timelines and scope.

Stakeholder and Project Collaboration

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, and technical teams to define and prioritize requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and stakeholder discussions to ensure shared understanding of business needs.
  • Manage requirement changes and ensure alignment with evolving project objectives and business priorities.
  • Communicate risks, dependencies, and issues affecting BA deliverables to leadership and project teams.
  • Support the end-to-end project lifecycle by ensuring clear documentation and smooth handover from analysis to delivery.

Strategic and Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for improving BA processes, tools, and templates to enhance team efficiency and quality.
  • Provide analytical insights to support business strategy, planning, and decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align BA initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Drive adoption of tools and techniques that improve collaboration and productivity (e.g., JIRA, Lucidchart).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to establish and uphold BA best practices.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Working knowledge of JIRA for requirements tracking and management.
  • Familiarity with Lucidchart or Draw.io for process flow documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred

  • Experience leading BAs in Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall delivery models.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise or digital transformation projects.
  • Exposure to cross-functional or global team collaboration.
