About the Role: In this role, the Junior DevOps Engineer will support the development and automation of our cloud and infrastructure platforms within IT Operations. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining automation solutions across our DevOps toolchain, improving operational efficiency, and supporting continuous integration and infrastructure provisioning. The role will work closely with engineering and operations teams to build and maintain automation workflows using tools, such as Rundeck, Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform, while supporting cloud environments in AWS and Azure.
Responsibilities
Job Duties in Brief:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation workflows using Rundeck, Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform.
- Support the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated deployments.
- Participate in the design and improvement of automation frameworks.
- Assist with provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments for IT Operations.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, and operations teams to identify opportunities for automation.
- Assist in improving operational processes through standardization and automation.
- Contribute to documentation of automation workflows, infrastructure components, and operational procedures
About You: The successful candidate is someone who is passionate about automation, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud technologies, and who wants to grow their DevOps skills in a collaborative environment. Experience and Technical Skills
- Background in Linux / Unix Administration
- Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language such as:
- Shell/Bash
- PowerShell
- Python
- Basic understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and automation practices.
- Exposure to one or more of the following tools:
- Rundeck
- Ansible
- Jenkins
- Terraform
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience in automating tasks and infrastructure using orchestration tools Terraform and CloudFormation
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Critical thinker with problem solving aptitude Education
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Degree in a relevant technical field
