The Opportunity

GrowthAssistant is looking for an IT Help Desk Assistant to support one of our clients in the healthcare industry. In this role, you'll be the first line of support for resolving technical issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for the client's internal teams.   • Schedule: 10:30 AM 7:30 PM EST

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

  • Ticket Resolution: Field and resolve Level 1 support tickets via Zendesk and Slack help channels.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve common issues including password resets, multi-factor authentication (MFA) resets, and login/access errors.
  • Identity & Access Management: Set up and manage user accounts and profiles, primarily for contractors, based on established onboarding guidelines.
  • User Support: Walk less-technical users through account setup processes via Slack, Zendesk, and over Zoom when necessary.
  • Provisioning Operations: Execute provisioning and deprovisioning tasks using prebuilt scripts, automated workflows, or manual steps (e.g., deactivating users in systems).
  • Team Collaboration: Support and collaborate with an internal IT team of three, sharing responsibility across the help desk.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update internal documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in Notion.
  • Process Improvement: Monitor ticket queues to ensure timely support and surface recurring issues or workflow friction points to suggest improvements.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 2+ years in a help desk, IT support, or technical customer service role.
  • Software Proficiency: High comfort level with Okta (or similar IAM tools), Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Zendesk, and Notion.
  • Technical Execution: Comfortable executing scripted or step-by-step provisioning and deprovisioning tasks.
  • Communication Mastery: Strong written and verbal English skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and patiently to non-technical users.
  • Operational Rigor: Detail-oriented with a strong ability to follow and improve repeatable workflows.

Bonus Points if:

  • You have prior experience supporting remote contractors or healthcare-related teams.
  • You hold certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google Workspace Admin, or Okta Certified Professional.
  • You have experience with automated IT workflows or basic scripting.

Salary Range: $7-$8/hour (Final offer based on skills and experience matched to role requirements)
