Location: Philippines - Makati/Pampanga (Angeles)

Schedule: Night shift

Job description:

The Financial Compliance team's mission is to establish and maintain the company's financial and regulatory compliance, including requirements over the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 requiring public companies to establish effective internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404 framework). We're looking for an IT Financial Compliance Senior Associate who will be working closely with the IT Financial Compliance Senior Manager and Manager to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness to ensure our compliance in financial reporting and other regulatory requirements as a public company's SOX program function. You will participate in meetings with stakeholders and external auditors to align on testing status and collaborate with engineering team members to understand our unique IT infrastructure.

What you'll need day-to-day or over the course of the specific project:

  • Participate in the initiative to support our SOX compliance framework by conducting tests of design and operating effectiveness for key engineering controls, including IT general controls, IT application controls, key reports and interfaces, and third-party SOC reports evaluation.
  • Understand our IT infrastructure and how it fits into the overall engineering controls environment.
  • Assist the quarterly SOX certification process for launching across the company.
  • Establish active and effective communication with departments across Robinhood.
  • Evaluate process improvement opportunities in our system of internal controls and SOX program.
  • Assist in ad-hoc special projects as necessary.

Work Hours:

Location: Makati City or Angeles City (in office)

Working hours: 9AM-6PM EST (9PM-6AM Philippine Time) or 12PM-9PM EST (12AM-9AM Philippine Time)

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Accounting with a focus in IT).
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience at a Big 4 audit firm (a plus but not required) or a company's internal audit/risk management function, with experience in audit/attestation services, including IT audit and risk management, compliance, information security, process controls integration, system pre-implementation reviews, and mergers and acquisitions due diligence, with direct SO experience (a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with source code management systems (e.g. Github) and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with SQL based reporting tools (e.g. Looker, Metabase).
  • Ability to partner with business and engineering stakeholders to identify optimal solutions that resolve business process or technology control gap.
  • Highly motivated and proactive with strong project management, organizational and communication skills.

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience at a Big 4 audit firm or a company's internal audit/risk management function, with experience in audit/attestation services, including IT audit and risk management, compliance, information security, process controls integration, system pre-implementation reviews, and mergers and acquisitions due diligence, with direct SO experience a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with source code management systems (e.g. Github) and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with SQL based reporting tools (e.g. Looker, Metabase).
