Role Description
As an IT Support Engineer Intern, the trainee assists in providing technical support, troubleshooting, software development assistance, and pre-sales engineering coordination. The role exposes students to IT operations, technical customer support, system maintenance, documentation, automation testing, and client-facing technical engagements. It is ideal for learners pursuing hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, software projects, and technical solution delivery.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- IT Internal Support (Foundational Role)
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of company devices and IT systems.
- Help monitor system performance and report technical concerns to the IT team.
- Maintain documentation for troubleshooting steps, asset inventory, and system updates.
- Provide timely internal support to employees and interns to ensure operational continuity.
- Software Development
- Support the development team in coding, updating, and debugging software applications.
- Assist in system enhancements, patching, and feature implementation.
- Participate in documentation, status reporting, and requirement gathering for projects.
- May assist in ongoing development initiatives, including coordination for projects
- Contribute to version control, test builds, and improvement recommendations.
- Pre-Sales Engineer Support
- Assist in preparing technical solution proposals and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity and technology principals for product information.
- Help in organizing technical presentations, demos, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Assist in evaluating client requirements and aligning them with technical solutions.
- Provide basic customer communication support for inquiries and technical clarifications.
- Test Automation Solutions (under Pre-Sales)
- Create and execute test cases for software systems and applications.
- Validate system behavior and document bugs, inconsistencies, or errors.
- Support automation scripts or workflows under supervision.
- Assist in product demonstrations and pre-deployment functionality checks.
- Ensure software quality before client release or system rollout.
