Role Description:
The BCP & Disaster Recovery Manager is responsible for ensuring all disaster recovery requirements are met across technology projects, managing DR plans, and maintaining accurate configuration data for enterprise applications and services. This position collaborates with IT PMO, project managers, SMEs, and technology owners to uphold governance standards and recovery objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Disaster Recovery (DR) Support
- Coordinate with IT PMO, Project Managers, and SMEs on all technology-impacting projects to ensure DR requirements are met.
- Review project scope and identify DR deliverables for technology-related work.
- Document scope, DR deliverables, stakeholders, systems, and timelines within DREC.
- Provide guidance and expectations for DR deliverables to PMs, SMEs, and delivery managers; update DR governance tasks in ServiceNow as deliverables are completed.
- Collect and review SaaS vendor DR plans and test results to verify recovery objectives; upload documentation to associated DR plans in Archer.
- Log test results within Archer.
- Provide support and information to IT PMO for recovery objectives in RFPs and guidance for changes.
- Track in-flight projects and DR requirements by project phase and deliverable status.
- Attend project meetings as needed for DR support and guidance.
- Provide PMO evidence for phase gate reviews showing DR requirements and deliverable status.
Configuration Management
- Ensure all new and modified enterprise applications/services are onboarded into SNAP and have an associated DR plan in Archer.
- Notify ITSM team of potential new hardware CIs from projects.
- Facilitate alignment of application/service recovery objectives with business processes (BIAs) and ensure accurate tier assessment in SNAP and Archer.
- Collaborate with technology owners on quarterly application validation efforts.
- Ensure enterprise applications/services are accurately aligned to correct ownership (support team and manager).
- Validate ownership alignment for DR plan preparer (SN Supported By SME) and reviewer (SN Managed By Manager).
- Associate enterprise applications/services with business processes in Archer with accurate RTO and RPO assessments.
- Update Business Application records based on changes and feedback from managers and SMEs.
- Maintain downstream impacts within Archer due to SNAP/Archer integration.
- Manage SNAP Business Application CI record validations for accuracy.
- Document and track application validation status by manager for monthly DR reporting.
DR Plan Management
- Maintain Application-to-Device mapping in Archer for DR exercise planning.
- Perform data cleanup in Archer to prepare for integration expansion of application/device service mapping.
- Track and coordinate DR plan updates and test efforts to meet timelines in coordination with PMO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, Engineering).
- Professional certification in business continuity or disaster recovery (e.g., CBCP, MBCP, DRII).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery management, or risk management in the BPO industry.
- Experience in conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and risk assessments.
- Experience in developing and testing BCP/DR plans for various business units and IT systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Experience in managing BCP/DR programs in a complex organizational environment.
- Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery principles and IT governance.
- Experience with Archer, SNAP, ServiceNow, and ITSM processes.
- Familiarity with SaaS vendor DR plans and recovery objectives.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
