IT Data Engineer

SN Aboitiz Power Group is looking for an agile IT Data Engineer to join our OCIO division and ensure 24/7 business continuity for our critical Plant Operations and Trading teams!

What you will do:

• Manage Critical Data Pipelines: Support and optimize SCADA-5min, Auto Dispatch, Market, and IEMOP data pipelines. You will also design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure high data quality and seamless integration into the Data Warehouse
• Champion Cybersecurity: Serve as a Cyber Incident First Responder, maintain the Information and Asset Registry (IAR), and assist in vulnerability patching and Cybersecurity Risk Management Frameworks (CRMF) documentation
• Provide IT Infrastructure Support: Handle first-level technical requests, endpoint onboarding, hardware troubleshooting, and provide on-call standby support for plant-site events
• Ensure Operational Continuity: Work crucial night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM) to guarantee that essential data pipelines and process automations function as intended for iROC Operations and Trading teams

What we are looking for:

• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification is highly advantageous!)
• 1–3 years of experience in ETL/Cloud development, OR 0–2 years of experience in IT/Administrative support
• Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), GCP Tools, and Workflow Orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster
• Foundational knowledge of ICS/SCADA security, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, network fundamentals, DevOps, and hardware/software troubleshooting
• Highly adaptable individuals who can work under pressure and commit to a 4-day, 7 PM to 7 AM shift schedule. Candidates preferably have a valid driver's license and a motorcycle
