IT Business Analyst

Reporting to the IT Business Engagement Manager, the IT Business Analyst is responsible for assessing the business needs of the assigned program/project and guiding problem-solving to identify system solutions to meet these needs. This includes utilising best practices and tools for requirements gathering and business analysis to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Focusing on delivering value-driven solutions, the Business Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and end-users, to ensure business needs are accurately captured and addressed. The role serves as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment between business requirements and technical capabilities.

• Facilitate and gather business requirements through various methods, including interviews, workshops, surveys, and business process analysis.
• Define and design new or re-engineered business processes in collaboration with business partners and stakeholders.
• Assess business impacts and risks for proposed changes or solutions.
• Ensure alignment of recommended solutions with business outcomes using both subjective and objective data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and vendors to prioritise, validate, document, and communicate business requirements.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach in requirements gathering and solution design.
• Plan, estimate, and report on Business Analysis activities.

Experience

• Proven experience in leading business analysis roles for major end-to-end Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) or business transformation initiatives.
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise, with experience in preparing business cases and driving system enhancements.
