Job Description

Job Summary:

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs, identifying technical solutions, and ensuring that IT systems meet user requirements. This role serves as a critical link between business units and IT, helping to improve processes and drive efficiency through technology. The Business Analyst works on a range of IT projects including software development, system integrations, and process automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into functional specifications

• Assist in solution design with technical teams and support development activities

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions

• Create process maps, data flow diagrams, and use cases

• Support QA and testing efforts, including creating test cases and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Develop user manuals, training materials, and conduct end-user training when needed

• Track and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle

• Assist in identifying areas for business process improvement

• Communicate updates and insights to business and technical teams throughout project phases

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

• 2–5 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in IT-related projects

• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies like Agile or Waterfall

• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel, or similar platforms

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with both business and technical teams
