About the role
The purpose of this role is to assist the corporate IT team to support the IT systems and related IT infrastructure (Printers, Servers, CAD Machines, Network and Comms), plus provide a local IT helpdesk service for the PSO site to log and manage requests for service and new requirements.
Essential
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar degrees
- At least 2 years of systems or IT experience including system support, integration, design, analysis and implementation.
- Working knowledge of the processes and procedures of an ITIL service desk function, with demonstrable knowledge of Incident, Issue, Problem, Change and Configuration management procedures.
- Good written and verbal skills in English
- Practical knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, Cisco switching and routing, Wireless networking and internet security and connectivity.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7 and Windows 10, Windows Server 2008, VMWare)
- Practical knowledge of print queue and printer setup
- Preferably has the following:
- Microsoft Certifications such as MCSE, MCP or other
- Cisco Qualifications or training towards CCENT, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP or other.
- ITIL V3 foundation or practitioner qualifications
- Experience in applications such as Pronto, 2 Interact, SharePoint, Microsoft SCCM
