IT Asset Sales Specialist (Buyback + Resale)

Role Summary
We are looking for a driven, relationship-oriented IT Asset Sales Specialist to grow two sides of our sustainable circular IT business:
- IT Asset Acquisition (Buyback) sourcing and purchasing used IT assets from companies
- IT Asset Resale selling used, refurbished, and open-box IT assets to businesses and institutional buyers
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building pipelines, negotiating deals, and working with real-world logistics while also being motivated by meaningful work. Every successful deal helps extend the life of technology and reduce electronic waste.

What You'll Be Selling
1) We Buy IT Assets from Companies
You will help businesses responsibly offload surplus or decommissioned IT equipment such as:
- laptops, desktops, monitors
- servers, networking equipment
- accessories, peripherals, and other IT hardware
2) We Sell Used/Refurbished/Open-Box IT Assets to Companies
You will sell tested and quality-checked IT assets to:
- SMEs and growing companies
- schools and institutions
- BPOs and operations-heavy teams
- resellers and bulk buyers
Key Responsibilities
A) IT Asset Acquisition (Buying / Supplier Development)
- Identify and contact businesses with surplus or decommissioned IT equipment
- Build relationships with decision makers (IT Managers, Procurement, Admin, Finance, Operations)
- Conduct outreach via email, calls, LinkedIn, referrals, and partnerships
- Collect asset details (brand, model, specs, quantity, condition, location)
- Prepare buyback quotations aligned with market pricing and margin targets
- Coordinate pickup schedules with operations/logistics
- Ensure smooth handoff of asset lists, documentation, and client requirements
- Maintain lead and deal tracking in CRM
B) IT Asset Resale (Selling / Buyer Development)
- Build a pipeline of buyers and repeat customers
- Respond to inbound inquiries and convert them into quotes and orders
- Create and send quotations based on inventory and pricing rules
- Negotiate pricing, bundles, payment terms, and delivery timelines
- Coordinate with operations to confirm stock availability and item condition
- Upsell: bulk packages, accessories, upgrade options, and warranty add-ons
- Maintain strong buyer relationships for repeat orders and referrals
C) Mission, Sustainability & Trust
- Communicate the environmental value of refurbished and reused IT assets
- Position our services as a responsible alternative to wasteful disposal and unnecessary new purchases
- Support clients in their sustainability/ESG goals through responsible asset recovery
- Uphold integrity, transparency, and trust especially in pricing, condition reporting, and process commitments
- Promote long-term relationships over short-term wins
D) Sales Operations & Reporting
- Keep CRM updated with accurate lead status, notes, and next actions
- Provide weekly reporting on:
- leads generated
- quotes sent
- deals closed
- revenue and gross margin
- buyer/supplier pipeline health
- Track market pricing trends and competitor benchmarks
- Share customer insights to improve product bundles, pricing, and inventory decisions
Success Metrics (KPIs)
- Monthly value and volume of IT assets acquired
- Monthly revenue from refurbished/used/open-box sales
- Gross margin per deal
- Lead generation volume and quality
- Quote-to-close conversion rate
- Repeat supplier accounts and repeat buyer accounts
- Responsiveness and turnaround time for quotations
Qualifications
Required
- 3-7+ years experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management
- Comfortable with outreach and follow-ups (calls, email, LinkedIn)
- Strong negotiation and closing ability
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple deals simultaneously
- Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Basic familiarity with IT assets (laptops/desktops/networking gear)
Preferred
- Experience in IT hardware sales, ITAD, electronics trading, buyback, surplus, or wholesale
- Existing network in IT, procurement, or reseller communities
- Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, etc.)
- Ability to understand specs and value drivers (CPU/RAM/SSD, generation, condition grading)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm
Location: Generally hybrid.
