Role Description The IT and Digital Support Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Davao, responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's information technology infrastructure and digital tools. Day-to-day tasks include providing technical support to staff and program participants, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring desktop computers, printers, and related devices function reliably. The role also involves managing user accounts, installing and updating software, monitoring system performance, and coordinating with vendors or service providers as needed. The IT and Digital Support Officer will support digital platforms used for training, documentation, communication, and data management, and will help implement basic cybersecurity and backup procedures. The position requires close collaboration with program and administrative teams to ensure technology effectively supports MPI's peacebuilding and training activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Information Technology and Technical Support, including basic network, system, and application support.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Desktop Computers, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess skills in Printer Support, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of printers and multifunction devices.
- Relevant skills such as familiarity with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., office suites, email, cloud storage) and basic cybersecurity practices are beneficial.
- A degree, diploma, or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, support training activities, and uphold MPI's peacebuilding values is essential.
