POSITION SUMMARY
The IQC Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing incoming quality control operations to ensure all incoming materials comply with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry specifications. This role oversees the inspection, qualification, and acceptance of incoming materials while ensuring compliance with quality management systems and regulatory standards. The position is also responsible for developing inspection processes, managing IQC personnel, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring effective implementation of quality procedures and controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
IQC Operations Management
- Ensure all incoming materials are inspected and qualified in accordance with AEI standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Oversee daily activities of IQC Inspectors and Technicians to ensure compliance with established procedures and quality requirements.
- Monitor and improve IQC performance metrics, inspection turnaround time, and quality effectiveness.
- Ensure proper disposition and documentation of non-conforming materials.
Quality System and Procedure Management
- Develop, review, and maintain IQC inspection instructions, ensuring approval by the appropriate authority prior to implementation.
- Review, update, release, and publish IQC procedures, work instructions, forms, and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company Quality Management Systems, ISO requirements, and customer standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and quality documentation.
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, coach, and supervise IQC personnel, including Group Leaders, Technicians, and Inspectors.
- Identify training needs and facilitate technical and skills development programs.
- Conduct performance monitoring and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Enforce company policies and initiate disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Process Improvement and Quality Enhancement
- Develop and implement programs to improve incoming inspection and material qualification processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction within IQC operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection effectiveness and quality performance.
- Analyze quality trends and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, and other departments to resolve material quality issues.
- Facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and drive improvement activities.
- Support supplier quality improvement initiatives and qualification activities.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and quality standards.
- Support risk management and quality assurance activities.
- Promote adherence to workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Incoming Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or related quality functions.
