Job Title: IO Engineering Consultant
About the Role
Manage and administer Tanium platform modules such as Patch, Deploy, Asset, and Threat Response.
Responsibilities:
- Execute enterprise-wide patch management activities to ensure endpoints remain secure and compliant.
- Monitor patch deployment cycles and troubleshoot failures or delays.
- Perform vulnerability assessment and remediation using Tanium and integrated security tools.
- Develop and manage automated remediation scripts and workflows.
- Generate compliance and security reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to organizational security policies and regulatory standards.
- Design, build, and maintain endpoint configurations and system images.
- Manage Windows OS environments, including upgrades, builds, and lifecycle management.
- Handle software packaging, deployment, and updates.
- Optimize endpoint performance and ensure system stability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex OS, application, and hardware-related issues.
- Apply security patches and mitigation strategies proactively.
- Collaborate with security teams to address threats and incidents.
- Ensure endpoints meet audit and compliance requirements.
- Identify recurring issues, bottlenecks, and performance degradation trends.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Qualifications
- 7 to 10 Years of relevant experience in Patching
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Tanium (Patch, Deploy, Asset, Threat Response)
- Expertise in endpoint patch management and vulnerability remediation
- Hands-on experience in Desktop Engineering / Windows Administration
- Knowledge of Tanium, SCCM/MECM, Intune, or endpoint management tools
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Understanding of endpoint security frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Work Schedule: US Central Time (morning, Afternoon, Night)
- Work Set-up: Hybrid (5x a month)
