Investment Specialist

About the Role

The Investment Consultant will support the effective management of the company's investment funds and help deliver investment solutions. The role involves working with asset managers, supporting Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) reviews, onboarding investment opportunities, and ensuring investment activities comply with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support investment management decisions and activities aligned with the company's income targets and strategic goals.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new investment outlets, funds, and financial instruments, including financial derivatives.
• Represent the investment management function during Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) reviews.
• Help ensure investment mandates remain aligned with company strategy.
• Liaise with asset managers and provide oversight of their fund management activities.
• Ensure investment activities comply with internal investment management standards and applicable local regulations.
• Perform other investment management responsibilities assigned by the supervisor based on operational and business requirements.

Must-Have Qualifications

• College graduate, preferably in Economics, Finance, Management, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in:
• Investments
• Asset management
• Risk management
• Related financial market-facing roles
• Strong working knowledge of local and global financial markets.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Critical and independent thinking.
• Effective communication with management stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Good-to-Have

• Completed or ongoing CFA certification.
• FRM certification.
• Treasury Certification Program (TCP).
• CAIA certification.
• Master's degree in Finance or a related discipline.
