Investment Portfolio Manager (Fixed Income & FX)
We are looking for an Investment Portfolio Manager with a strong banking, treasury, or trust background to help manage the company's HTC portfolio and FX positions, working closely with the Head of Investments and Treasury.
What You'll Do
You will work directly with the Head of Investments and Treasury, taking an active role in portfolio deployment, FX management, risk monitoring, and investment strategy execution. This role requires strong market awareness, sound judgment, and close collaboration with fixed income and investment support teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. HTC Portfolio Management
- Ensure timely and efficient deployment of the HTC portfolio
- Prepare and maintain liquidity forecasts
- Monitor daily compliance with internal and regulatory limits
- Identify investment opportunities and new products in collaboration with the Investment Associate and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager
2. Foreign Exchange Management
- Coordinate with internal departments on FX requirements and exposures
- Manage FX positions using approved spot and derivative instruments
- Support funding and hedging requirements as needed
3. Credit Review & Investment Analysis
- Assist in the review, analysis, and recommendation of potential investment outlets
- Support credit evaluation for investment decisions
4. Risk Monitoring & Management
- Monitor limits and ensure compliance with approved internal and regulatory guidelines
- Support exception approvals when required
- Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing
- Participate in regulatory stress testing
- Support Risk & Compliance in the preparation of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) report
5. Reporting & Governance
- Review and validate investment-related reports prepared by the Investment Associate prior to submission
- Contribute to the preparation of, but not limited to:
- Daily portfolio worksheets
- Weekly and monthly market updates
- In-house Investment and FX reports
- Monthly SL and Board supplementary reports
- Consolidated Investment Portfolio reports
- Investment Committee reports
- Exposure and income reports
6. Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Provide guidance and mentoring to the Investment Associate
- Maintain close coordination with the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager
- Promote efficient communication within the Investments team
7. Counterparty & Market Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, brokers, and counterparties
- Represent the company in industry functions (e.g., Fund Managers Association of the Philippines and other investment-related events)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related field
- Strong background in Fixed Income Portfolio Management, Fixed Income Trading, and/or FX Trading
- Experience in Treasury, Trust, or Markets (banking experience is a strong advantage)
- Professional certification such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred
