Job Description

  • At least 5–9 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Middle Office, Capital Markets, Fund Accounting, Custody Operations, or Investment Operations.
  • Experience in Income Processing, Corporate Actions, Fund Accounting, or Middle Office Operations within an Investment Banking, Asset Management, or Financial Services environment is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Investment Manager and Custody business is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of capital markets, trade lifecycle, fixed income securities, and dividend processing.
  • Familiarity with Middle Office and Custody processes, including upstream and downstream workflows.
  • Understanding of operational risks and controls related to Income and Corporate Action processing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willing to work on a shifting schedule.

What you will be responsible for

  • Perform daily Income processing and validation for Fixed Income and Equity securities.
  • Validate accruals, amortization, and income calculations based on client-specific policies.
  • Perform reconciliation of cash balances and investigate cash breaks.
  • Ensure assigned deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required.
  • Generate reports and support data analysis using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Escalate processing exceptions, operational issues, and risks to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and controls.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and global stakeholders to resolve operational queries.
  • Deliver high-quality client service while ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls.

  • Knowledge of Fund Accounting, including NAV preparation, accruals, and amortization.
  • Exposure to Income Processing, Corporate Actions, or Custody Operations is preferred.
  • Basic experience using Bloomberg Terminal or other market data platforms is an advantage but not required.
  • Understanding of interest income, dividend processing, and reconciliation concepts.
  • Ability to research and resolve reconciliation breaks and operational exceptions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI or automation tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a global environment.
  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new processes and technologies.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., NISM, NSE, CISI, CFA, FRM, CPA) are an advantage but not required.
