Job Summary:
- The Investment Operations Officer leads and manages a team responsible for day-to-day investment operations supporting global investment management clients. The role acts as a primary contact point for internal and external clients and oversees trade confirmation, trade processing, trade settlement, and reporting of client trade instructions. The Officer is expected to be a hands-on manager, ensuring teams deliver high-quality service, meet service level agreements, respond promptly to client queries, and escalate unresolved matters appropriately to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day leadership and management of investment operations and Transaction Management teams
- Oversee middle and back-office activities, including: (Trade confirmation, processing, and settlement, Reconciliations and exception management, Billing, income processing, and portfolio services, Processing of directed lending instructions, wire transfers, and trade exceptions)
- Ensure all transactions and deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed SLAs
- Act as the primary escalation and relationship contact for internal and external clients
- Ensure client-initiated inquiries are tracked, responded to, and resolved within defined timelines
- Drive service delivery excellence and client satisfaction through proactive management
- Maintain and strengthen a robust risk management and control environment
- Perform high level analysis to identify operational trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and controls
- Liaise with global teams across regions and functions to support client issue resolution
- Support and proactively manage client change requests impacting operating models and enterprise processes
- Provide coaching, guidance, and development support to team members
- Support audit, compliance, and risk initiatives, as well as special projects assigned by management
Qualifications:
- 6–14 years of relevant experience in: (Investment Operations, Middle Office / Back Office Services, Transaction Management, Reconciliations, or Client Services, Custodian, asset manager, or financial services shared services environment)
- Prior people management or team leadership experience is required
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, including confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation
- Willingness to work in any shift (night shift / day shift / early morning shift)
- Open to working on‑site 4x per week in BGC, Taguig
