Investment Operations & Business Development Executive
This is a hybrid position that balances middle-office operational management with front-office business growth. You will be responsible for keeping fund operations accurate and efficient while actively helping the company attract high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investment Operations
- Portfolio & Cash Administration:
Track overall portfolio asset allocations, monitor corporate actions, and handle internal approvals for investment activities.
Manage fund cash balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for investments and day-to-day operations.
- Trade Placement & Execution:
Accurately execute and record trades placed.
Assist portfolio managers and investment team members with trade submissions and maintain records.
- Performance Reporting:
Calculate fund returns, risk metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare performance reports and answer client inquiries regarding portfolio updates.
- Fund & Third-Party Coordination:
Prepare sub-fund documents (investment reports, resolutions, meeting minutes).
Coordinate daily with fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and service providers.
2. Regulatory Compliance
- Assist with regulatory filings, annual declarations, and fit & proper reporting.
- Prepare documentation for cross-border investment arrangements and asset access channels.
3. Business Development & Client Relations
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, networks, and referral partnerships specifically targeting high-net-worth individuals.
- Create tailored proposals, presentations, and fund summaries for prospective clients.
- Attend industry events, seminars, and conferences to generate leads and represent the firm.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1-3 years in investment operations or a highly similar role.
- Mastery of MS Excel/financial tools experience with performance measurement systems like Bloomberg is highly desired.
- Extreme attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving, and top-tier communication skills for client-facing growth tasks.
- Familiarity with Singapore's financial regulatory environment is preferred.
