Job Description

The Investment Advisor is responsible for growing the volume and revenue of the assigned portfolio through BPI Wealth investment products such as Unit Investment Trust Funds (UITFs), Mutual Funds (MFs), Personal Equity & Retirement Account (PERA) products, fixed income securities, collective investment schemes, and other investment products under segregated accounts. The role contributes to achieving the team's and department's goals by providing investment advice, solutions, and account management support to clients while building strong partnerships with branches and relationship managers.

Responsibilities

  • Engages clients by providing investment advice and solutions
  • Grows the investment assets under management (AUM) and revenue of assigned segments and clients
  • Acts as account officer of basic segregated accounts (PMA)
  • Develops strong partnerships with branches and Preferred Relationship Managers (RMs)
  • Assists RMs in profiling and recommending investment products to clients
  • Assists RMs in providing market updates
  • Addresses investment concerns of Preferred Regular clients
  • Conducts branch product briefings and serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for basic investment training courses
  • Assists Senior Investment Advisor (SIA) in conducting reviews for regulatory investment certifications
  • Conducts Investment 101 and Financial Wellness events and handles client queries and objections
  • Facilitates account opening of segregated accounts and ensures proper endorsement of transactions to IS and AMTC units
  • Assists IS in addressing basic investment concerns of branches and clients

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any 4-year business course from a reputable university
  • Mastery of investment sales process and product matching (all investment funds, PMA-like segregated accounts)
  • Knowledge of global market developments
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to apply knowledge of risks, policies, and economic/market environment in recommending products
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and virtual communication platforms
  • Certification requirements: AMLA Trainings, BPI Mandatory Courses, TOAP UCP Certified, SEC Mutual Fund CIS, SEC CEFIMS, AMTC Academy
  • Attributes: Trustworthy, team-oriented, conscientious, results-oriented, sociable, inquisitive, resourceful, analytical, with good credit standing
  • Fresh graduate or preferably with work experience in asset management, trust banking, treasury, financial and capital markets, consumer banking, or investment banking
