Job Description

Philippines – Remote | Contract

Westin Group designs and sells outdoor and patio furniture across the Westintrends and Costa Elm brands, reaching customers through major online marketplaces (examples Wayfair, Target, Macy's, Walmart Marketplace, Amazon) and a growing wholesale channel serving specialty patio retail store partners and large national retail chains. This remote contract role, base in the Philippines, will be a key expansion to our talent pool in the country.

At its core, this is an inventory role: getting the right quantity in the right place at the right time and balancing the financial risk of carrying too much stock against the reward of not missing a sale. This role owns inventory planning across our ecommerce marketplace and wholesale channels, using sales trends, seasonality, promotions, and channel-specific signals to build SKU- and color-level demand forecasts that drive inventory placement, replenishment, and factory load-in planning. You'll work within our Power BI/Fabric-based planning environment, partnering closely with our Philippines-based BI developer and with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations teams in the U.S. and at our Ningbo, China office to build out a robust reporting and decision-making platform.

A note on our tools: we don't run a dedicated, off-the-shelf demand or inventory planning system today — we're building that capability ourselves, natively in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, and this role will directly shape how it evolves. We want someone who has hands-on experience with more traditional demand/inventory planning software (e.g., Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, NetSuite, or similar) and can bring that experience and best practices to how we design our own tools — and we're always open to layering in additional purpose-built tools within the Fabric ecosystem where they make sense.

What You'll Do

  • Own inventory planning across marketplace and wholesale channels (Examples: Wayfair, Walmart Marketplace, Amazon, and patio/dealer accounts) — determining the right quantity, in the right place, at the right time, and balancing the risk of overstock against the reward of staying in stock.
  • Bridge between US market, Chinese production teams
  • Monitor in-stock levels, sell-through, and inventory health across 3PL-held, channel-dedicated consignment inventory, and core Westin warehoused goods
  • Execute recurring allocation processes across channels and 3PLs to maintain target in-stock levels and service-level objectives.
  • Build an manager feedback mechanism to collect and moderate stakeholder feedback on purchase plans
  • Develop a CPFR approach leveraging platform sales data and formal and informal customer feedback to improve service levels while minimizing financial over exposure
  • Support seasonal buy and load-in planning — for example, planning in August for a March load-in — accounting for the range of production lead times feeding our product pipeline.
  • Build and maintain SKU- and color-level demand forecasts within our Power BI/Fabric planning tool as a key input to these inventory decisions, incorporating price-vs-seasonality effects (e.g., promo-driven dips and spikes) rather than treating them as sustained demand shifts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and product development team to ensure forecasts reflect channel priorities across our Westintrends and Costa Elm direct channels and our wholesale channel to specialty patio retail store partners.
  • Prepare forecast accuracy reporting, demand review materials, and business insights for recurring planning forums.
  • Partner closely with our Philippines-based BI developer and broader IT stakeholders to build and continuously improve a robust reporting and decision-making platform — this role doesn't require hands-on developer skills, but does require the ability to translate planning needs into clear tool and data requirements.
  • Use Excel, Power BI, and AI-assisted tools (Copilot, Claude) to streamline reporting, analysis, and forecast maintenance.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, supply planning, or a related planning function — ecommerce marketplace or wholesale/retail channel experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketplace fulfillment models, including 3PL/consignment inventory and drop-ship arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, replenishment, inventory positioning, demand variability, and service-level management, ideally in a seasonal product category.
  • Advanced Excel skills; hands-on experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable BI/planning platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience with a traditional demand, inventory, or supply planning platform (e.g., Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, NetSuite, or similar) is a strong plus — while we don't run one of these today, we want that perspective as we build our own planning environment in Power BI and Fabric.
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) as part of day-to-day planning and reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT and BI development resources — translating planning and business requirements into clear specifications — without needing hands-on coding or development skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across time zones with a distributed team spanning the U.S. and our office in Ningbo, China.
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating as a contractor, with the organizational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal business.
