Job Description

The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant management of medical supplies, equipment, and consumables within the hospital. This role supports uninterrupted patient care by maintaining optimal inventory levels, preventing shortages or expirations, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and hospital policies.

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Managing inventory and follow existing procedures to identify any issues and solve problems
  • Carry out a range of inventory-control activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role
  • Monitor, track, and maintain inventory levels for medical supplies, non-clinical pharmaceuticals, implants, and equipment using par levels, Kanban, or automated inventory systems
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain system integrity
  • Manage lot and batch tracking, expiration monitoring, and recall processes to prevent waste and ensure patient safety
  • Manage a day-to-day basis the transportation and distribution of goods and supplies using existing procedures; review and recommend improvements to procedures to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies
  • Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others
  • Coordinate with purchasing, vendors, nursing units, operating rooms, pharmacy, and ancillary departments to ensure timely supply availability and resolve backorders/shortages

Ideally, a candidate must be a graduate of any bachelor's degree in Business, or other related courses, with at least 3 years of working experience working experience in healthcare organizational management
