Job Description:
1. Inventory Planning & Forecasting
- Lead demand planning activities across categories, consolidating inputs from business stakeholders to develop accurate short- and long-term forecasts.
- Oversee purchase planning processes to ensure timely procurement aligned with sales trends, campaign needs, and inventory turnover goals.
- Ensure demand and supply plans translate to effective stock allocations across warehouses.
2. Stock Distribution & Mid-Mile Execution
- Manage day-to-day execution of SKU movement across warehouses, ensuring optimal stock placement based on demand and regional performance.
- Oversee line haul scheduling, inter-warehouse transfers, and mid-mile logistics coordination.
- Actively track and manage key inventory indicators including Days of Cover (DOC), black stock, in-transit items, and line haul arrivals.
3. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a blended team of Demand Planners and Mid-Mile Logistics Officers under the Inventory Operations team.
- Build team capabilities in both data-driven forecasting and operational execution.
- Partner closely with Category Management, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, and Systems teams to drive alignment and process improvements.
4. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and analyze key inventory metrics such as forecast accuracy, fulfillment rate, stock aging, and overstock levels.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for imbalances (e.g., stock-outs, overstock, black stock).
- Leverage tools, dashboards, and system enhancements to automate reporting and improve operational visibility.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Has 8+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or logistics operations, preferably in e-commerce, FMCG, or retail.
- Experience managing hybrid teams with both planning and operations scope.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with working knowledge of SQL or dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven, and highly collaborative environment.
