Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller – 3PL to oversee inventory accuracy and operational compliance across third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses, distribution centers, commissaries, and retail operations. The role is responsible for monitoring inventory movements, ensuring accurate inventory records, reconciling stock discrepancies, and coordinating closely with logistics providers and internal stakeholders to maintain inventory integrity.

The ideal candidate has experience managing inventory within a 3PL, distribution, warehouse, FMCG, retail, or food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory movement across 3PL warehouses, distribution centers, commissaries, and stores.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled between warehouse operations and ERP systems.
  • Coordinate inventory receiving, transfers, returns, adjustments, and dispatch transactions with 3PL partners.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation and investigate stock variances, inventory discrepancies, and operational losses.
  • Support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and annual inventory activities with internal teams and logistics providers.
  • Analyze inventory shrinkage, damages, spoilage, and warehouse variances, recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory handling procedures, warehouse controls, FIFO, and FEFO practices.
  • Prepare inventory reports, reconciliation schedules, and inventory performance analyses.
  • Coordinate closely with Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and 3PL partners to resolve inventory issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen inventory controls and warehouse processes.
  • Conduct warehouse visits to assess inventory compliance and operational standards.
  • Support inventory-related audit requirements and maintain complete documentation.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Accountancy, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, distribution, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Experience working with 3PL providers, distribution centers, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
  • Experience using SAP ERP or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP inventory systems.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory reconciliation, warehouse inventory controls, stock movement, and variance analysis.
  • Experience handling physical inventory counts and warehouse audits.
  • Excellent analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Willing to travel to warehouses, distribution centers, and store locations as needed.
