Job description:
The Inventory Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inventory-related accounting processes, ensuring accuracy of records, compliance with company policies, and alignment with financial reporting standards. This role supervises the inventory accounting team, provides analysis on inventory transactions, and supports management in decision-making related to cost control and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily inventory accounting operations, including monitoring stock movements, transfers, and adjustments.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of inventory transactions in the ERP system.
- Review and reconcile inventory accounts, including cycle counts and physical inventory results.
- Analyze inventory variances, shrinkage, and cost of goods sold, providing actionable insights.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare inventory-related schedules, reports, and analyses for management and auditors.
- Implement and maintain internal controls over inventory processes to ensure compliance with company policies.
