International Service Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring an International Service Engineer on behalf of our client, a global medical technology company specializing in endoscopic medical devices.

The role will provide technical support, product training, and after-sales service to overseas customers and international sales teams. You will be responsible for troubleshooting product issues, supporting distributors and end users, and responding to major technical or after-sales issues in the field.

This is a role is based in Manila, with business travel primarily within Southeast Asia. While travel frequency is expected to be relatively low, the successful candidate must be prepared to travel to customer or distributor sites when major technical issues require on-site support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical training and product support to overseas customers, distributors, and international sales personnel.
• Handle and follow up on customer after-sales complaints and technical issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems involving endoscopy equipment.
• Provide timely technical guidance and support to customers and sales teams.
• Monitor product improvement initiatives and provide real-time feedback based on field experience.
• Identify potential major after-sales issues and prepare appropriate contingency plans.
• Respond promptly to major technical or after-sales incidents and travel to customer sites when on-site intervention is required.
• Conduct regular visits to distributors and end users to provide technical support and strengthen relationships.
• Support exhibitions, product demonstrations, and other customer-facing activities when required.
• Collect technical and customer feedback from distributors and end users.
• Prepare reports and communicate field findings and customer feedback to the company.
• Work closely with international sales teams and distributors to ensure effective product support.
• Support other technical and after-sales activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience servicing endoscopy equipment is required.
• Experience providing technical support, troubleshooting, repair, or maintenance of endoscopic medical equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment-related technical issues.
• Comfortable providing technical training and support to customers and sales personnel.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, customer-oriented approach when handling after-sales issues.
• Able to work independently and respond effectively to urgent technical situations.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.
• Fluent, professional English communication skills are required.
• Mandarin/Chinese language skills are not required.
• No specific technical certificates or professional qualifications are required for this position.

Candidate Eligibility

• The primary target is Filipino candidates currently based locally in the Philippines.
• Candidates who are not Filipino but have substantial long-term working experience in the Philippine endoscopy industry may also be referred for client consideration.

Working Arrangement

• Location: Manila, Philippines
• Employment: Full-time
• Employment arrangement: Local employment through an EOR in the Philippines

• Travel: Primarily within Southeast Asia
• Travel to customer, distributor, or end-user sites may be required, particularly when major technical issues need to be resolved.

Compensation

• Base salary
