Job description:
The primary responsibility of the Branch Audit Assistant is to check, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of branch risk management, internal control, and governance processes under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager.
As a Branch Audit Assistant, you will be in charged of the following:
- Monitor the execution of the audit plan, review all key observations coming out of the audits, highlight the critical ones to the Internal Audit Manager
- Work with operations and compliance to ensure adherence to all the required regulations
- Issue audit reports to the branches with ratings/scores
- Gather responses from auditees and share a consolidated report with the management
- Explore ways to optimize the audit cost, and maintain it within targeted budget
- Employ analytics to examine trends and identify areas of improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and work towards realizing the same
- Work closely with the compliance manager to incorporate risk management findings from the team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors from ISO point of view
- Provide clear directions on strategic goals, translate and prioritize them into business and performance measures
- Monitor low scoring branches and ensure performance improvement through closure of audit points
- Constantly conduct interventions to develop audit capability of the team
- Equip all employees to ensure efficient execution of the audit plan/ process, and thereby achieve effectiveness of all internal controls at the country level
- Build awareness among the employee regarding new processes, observations and suitable rectifications
- Assist in building analytics based tool for audit by providing scenarios, data etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Internal Audit or any related business course
- At least 1 to 2 years of audit experience
- Adept in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Can work with less supervision and highly initiative
- With strong analytical skills and attention to details
- With good oral and written communication
- Willing to travel extensively to conduct branch audit
- Can start ASAP
