Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Internal Audit and Risk & Insurance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee day-to-day operations by managing team workload, prioritizing deliverables, and ensuring timely completion of audit and risk-related activities.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for operational, audit, and risk-related concerns while providing guidance and support to the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, service expectations, and operational objectives.
- Monitor team performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and operational reports, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support audit engagements by reviewing documentation, coordinating testing activities, tracking action plans, and ensuring timely follow-up on audit findings.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, operational enhancements, and the implementation of best practices across audit and risk functions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, internal controls, confidentiality standards, and professional audit practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in Internal Audit or Risk Management.
- 5–7 years of leadership or supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Experience supporting healthcare organizations or healthcare operations.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA is required.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or willingness to obtain the certification within three years in an advantage.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based operations or shared services environments in an advantage.
