Intermediate SCCM Engineer

YOUR ROLE

Responsible for administering and maintaining the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune environments, ensuring the infrastructure remains fully operational through configuration changes, software deployment, client health monitoring, and reporting. Provides application and Windows OS installation, upgrade, configuration, and patching support, including monthly deployment of security updates to Windows servers and workstations. Delivers in-depth troubleshooting and technical support for all MECM/Intune-related issues, builds and tests software packages and updates for distribution to end-user devices, and manages service requests and incident tickets within the SCCM support queue.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

• Administration of MECM and Intune infrastructure and to maintain it in operational conditions including changes to the core components and settings, software delivery, client health, and reporting.
• Provide application/Windows OS installation/upgrade/configuration/patching data reporting (application install status, client health) leveraging Microsoft
• Endpoint Configuration Manager
• Assist with the monthly Windows security and application patch/update deployment process for Windows workstations within the organization.
• Assist with the development and support of our Microsoft Autopilot environment including device enrollment, implementing, and configuring auto provisioning scenarios, managing device access and compliance, application management, and managing security.
• Builds and tests software application packages and software updates for distribution to end-user PC equipment.
• Managing the Windows client image, application packaging and scripting, and related project work
• Monthly deployment of security patches to Windows Servers and workstations
• Roll-out patches and software
• Ensure timely deployment of software updates, critical patches, and out-of-band releases
• Responsible for keeping deployed software and systems updated to current and secure versions
• Maintain the health of the MECM environment including clients, servers, and distribution points
• Provide support and in-depth troubleshooting to any and all issues related to the
• MECM/Intune infrastructure or functionality
• Day to day administration of MECM/MEM environment to include engineering new solutions as needed
• Communicate with a wide variety of users from executives to individual users
• Following strict change, incident, request, and problem management guidelines
• Provide monthly reporting of patching activity
• Ensuring compliance to service level agreements

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent
• An advanced ability to administrate MECM/MEM for deployment of applications and software updates.
• At least 2 years of experience utilizing and maintaining MECM and Intune.
• Demonstrated the ability to assemble complex software distributions and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Experience with major Microsoft technologies including PC and server operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure.
• Knowledge of change management process, including the coordination of testing.
• Experience as a subject matter expert of Microsoft Autopilot environment including device enrollment, implementing, and configuring auto provisioning scenarios, managing device access and compliance, application management, managing security.
• Excellent working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows 8, 10, 11 and Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022
• Strong understanding of SCCM/MECM with advanced knowledge of application deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, client and server maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting
• Must be able to troubleshoot day to day operations, performing monitor and tuning system performance, and providing administration, configuration, installation, deployment and maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of SCCM/MECM client installation, software distribution, remote control, and other SCCM issues.
• Troubleshoot and fix and disruptions on the SCCM/MECM infrastructure and able to analyze and suggest/provide improvements
• Experience deploying and operating System Center Endpoint Protection / Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Excellent process-oriented skills with regards to configuration management and troubleshooting within an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of change management process, including the coordination of testing.
• Good working knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite - Office 2013/2016 and/or Office 365
• Experience with Active Directory as it relates to SCCM/MECM (AD sites, group discovery, computer collections, etc.)
• Infrastructure knowledge, how to setup / deploy / troubleshoot MP/DP servers
• Resolve Agent deployment issues
• Custom Report building

• PowerShell
• MCSE certified or above
• Foreign language skills
