Your Role
As an
Intermediate C++ Engineer, you will:
- Modify and enhance Chromium code to support a secure remote browser solution.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve browser remoting capabilities and display performance.
- Develop, debug, test, and maintain high-quality C++ code following clean coding principles and software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, investigate bug reports, and implement effective resolutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of browser technologies while working in an Agile development environment.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- 2–3 years of experience developing C++ applications on Linux.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 or later) and object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Hands-on experience with Linux development tools, including Git, GDB, GCC/Clang, and Linux development environments.
- Experience with Linux shell scripting using Python or Bash.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience using unit testing frameworks such as GoogleTest.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Experience working with open-source browsers such as Chromium or Firefox.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins.
- Experience working in Scrum or Agile software development environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team.
