The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least 2 years of Australian chartered accounting experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technical knowledge and proven experience in tax and accounting compliance
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective time-management skills and strong attention to detail
• Experience using cloud-based accounting systems
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work to clients
• Keen interest in business or taxation law
• Experience using Xero Practice Manager, which is an advantage

Your Daily Tasks

• Attend to client tax compliance and reporting requirements
• Prepare individual income tax returns, Business Activity Statements, and Instalment Activity Statements
• Prepare basic financial statements for companies, trusts, and partnerships
• Complete workpapers and account reconciliations
• Organize and save supporting documents in accordance with compliance requirements
• Follow established instructions while working independently
• Research and resolve issues associated with client engagements
• Apply an understanding of different entity structures and their associated implications
• Support junior and graduate accountants with their learning and professional development
