Job Overview

As a media planner, you are tasked to help formulate media objectives and strategies recommendation to address the set marketing and business objectives while maximising returns on advertising across different media channels.

You will be responsible for analysing relevant data, thinking creatively and dreaming up innovative strategies to make sure marketing campaigns reach the right target audience in the most effective and efficient way possible. Media planners collect and analyse information about different media (ATL/Digital) based on identified consumer behaviour, media trends and competitive landscape.

You will be working closely with clients, understand their wants, needs and objectives and then make the important decisions about what media channels should be used for specific campaigns that will help drive real business results.

Key Accountabilities

Planning:

  • Develop media strategy, channel recommendations and prepare the detailed media flowplan
  • Liaise with media owners for proposals
  • Experience with media planning and audience insights tools
  • Collect and analyse data to determine best media mix for campaigns
  • Engage clients and creative agencies on day-to-day operations
  • Various campaign reports on local/regional/global levels
  • Ensuring all media goals and strategies are delivered and executed within budgets.
  • Leads the post campaign reporting in partnership with internal and external partners.
  • Timely delivery and upkeep of all relevant reporting systems and templates (VSMS, media plans, contact reports, status reports).

Client relationship management:

  • Day to day account management of key clients

Finance:

  • Ensure billing of invoices in internal systems and liaising with clients for PO's /signed CEs

Managing specialist relationships:

  • Internal: Manage relationships with specialist teams internally - clear and accurate briefing of them.
  • External: Build effective working relationships with media partners to keep abreast with the current trend

Required skills:

  • University graduate/ Fresh Graduates are welcome
  • 1-2 years media agency experience essential, integrated media planning a big plus
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to relate results to client business objectives
  • Balanced ability to perform analytically and creatively
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Compliance with deadlines
  • Well organized multi-tasker able to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and style, including face-face, email and telephone manner
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Good PC skills, especially excel and PowerPoint
