Underwriting Assistant with reinsurance experience to support our underwriting team in evaluating risks, preparing documents, and coordinating reinsurance transactions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating insurance applications in line with company underwriting guidelines.
- Support the preparation of quotations, policy documents, and reinsurance slips.
- Coordinate with reinsurers and brokers for treaty and facultative reinsurance placements.
- Help analyze risks, pricing, and coverage terms to ensure sound underwriting decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting and reinsurance transactions.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the underwriting team.
- Monitor policy renewals and ensure timely processing of endorsements and documentation.
- Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Underwriting or Reinsurance Department Head.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or any related field.
- 12 years of experience in underwriting or reinsurance (insurance industry background preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willing to learn and grow within the underwriting and reinsurance field.
