Insurance Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

• Facilitates and/or coordinates with the assigned IM Specialists the establishment and implementation of effective insurance programs for the Company's insurable risks on commercially reasonable terms. As the Company's business, assets and operations are exposed to insurable risks such as natural catastrophe, machinery breakdown, political violence and liabilities to third parties, an effective insurance program is a key risk transfer tool that provides mitigation of the effects the Company's exposure to such insurable risks.
• Facilitates and/or coordinates with the assigned IM Specialists the Company's insurance claims to ensure that claims are promptly notified, filed, documented, adjusted, settled and paid.
• Interface with insurance providers and brokers to negotiate preferred terms, coverage, and pricing.
• Document and periodically recommend improvement to streamline and simplify the business process.
• Educate, synchronize and implement best practices to the IM team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of any bachelor's degree program. Engineering/Risk and Insurance Management degree is an advantage.
• At least five (5) years of managerial experience in the insurance industry, particularly in underwriting or processing of claims in power plants. Experience in handling energy-related risks is required.
• Has attended any basic non-life insurance course.
• Has strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office and Google Workspace applications.
