We are seeking a detail-oriented Claims Coordinator to support the administration, tracking, and analysis of insurance claims across multiple lines of coverage. This role will serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to help ensure timely claim reporting, accurate documentation, effective communication, and efficient claim resolution.
In addition to claims administration, the position will support Risk Management through claims monitoring, reporting, trend analysis, dashboard creation, and insurance renewal activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Workers Compensation, General Liability, Auto Liability, Property, and other insurance claims from intake through closure.
- Maintain and update claims data, documentation, reserves, payments, and exposures within claims management systems.
- Monitor claim activity and follow up with carriers, TPAs, brokers, legal counsel, HR, Safety, and Operations teams.
- Identify documentation gaps, delays, and claim developments and escalate issues when needed.
- Analyze claim frequency, severity, loss trends, reserve development, claim duration, closure rates, and other key metrics.
- Develop dashboards, reports, loss summaries, and presentations for leadership.
- Participate in claim review meetings and document follow-up actions.
- Support insurance renewal processes by preparing loss runs, claims summaries, and underwriting data.
- Assist with OSHA recordkeeping and claims-related regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Insurance, Finance, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in claims administration, insurance, or risk management.
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation, General Liability, Auto Liability, Property, and casualty claims.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, reporting, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and creating dashboards and presentations.
- Experience with claims management systems such as RIMS or similar platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance carriers, brokers, and legal counsel.
- Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing claims dashboards and executive-level reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
