SN Aboitiz Power (SNAP) is looking for a licensed Instrumentation and Control Engineer to ensure world-class equipment reliability and plant availability at the Magat, Maris, BESS, and Floating Solar Plants. This role includes a unique Maintenance Personnel On-Call (MPOC) responsibility, providing critical technical support and operational assistance to the Integrated Remote Operations Center (IROC) team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Executes safe maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of process instruments and control equipment, including turbines, generators, governors, and switchyard components.
- OT Systems Management: Leads the implementation and maintenance of Operational Technology (OT) Security Systems (Level 3.5 and below), including patch updates, backups, and incident recovery.
- Operational Support (MPOC): Performs plant startup/shutdown, loading/deloading, and setting operating parameters via the DCS under IROC instruction.
- Reliability Engineering: Conducts reliability studies on existing controls and implements recommendations for equipment modifications and improvements.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensures adherence to the Grid Code of the Philippines, Dam safety protocols (OMA/OMM), and Integrated Management Systems (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment).
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
- License: Must be a Licensed Engineer.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the same field, specifically within power plant environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of measuring instruments, protection systems, and plant control systems.
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) like JobTech or Maximo.
- Formal training in PLC and Process Instrumentation and Control Systems.
Core Competencies
- Technical Skills: Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and knowledge of Hydro, BESS, and Solar power plant operations.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and supervise assigned personnel and act as an On-scene Incident Commander when required.
- Soft Skills: High integrity, self-motivated, and strong communication skills for coordination with Operations and Maintenance teams.
