ROLE SUMMARY
The Instructional Designer and E-Learning Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging digital learning solutions that support employee development, compliance training, onboarding, leadership development, and organizational capability building. This role combines instructional design expertise with multimedia development to create interactive, learner-centered learning experiences aligned with business objectives.
Working closely with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and the Human Resources team, the Instructional Designer and E-Learning Developer transforms complex information into engaging, accessible, and measurable learning experiences using industry-leading authoring tools, multimedia technologies, and AI-powered solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
• Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs, performance gaps, and capability requirements.
• Design instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, self-paced, and blended learning programs.
• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, or similar frameworks.
• Develop measurable learning objectives, competency-based curricula, and learning pathways.
• Design scenario-based learning, branching exercises, simulations, role-playing activities, case studies, and assessments.
• Conduct training needs analysis and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
• Ensure learning content supports operational excellence, compliance, employee performance, and business objectives.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements based on learner feedback, assessment results, and analytics.
E-LEARNING DEVELOPMENT
• Develop engaging, interactive eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, and Articulate AI Assistant.
• Convert presentations, policies, procedures, manuals, and existing documentation into modern, LMS-ready digital learning content.
• Create learning modules incorporating:
• Interactive scenarios
• Knowledge checks
• Simulations
• Video
• Audio narration
• Animations
• Gamification elements
• Develop quizzes, assessments, certifications, and completion requirements.
• Publish SCORM-compliant content for deployment within the organization's Learning Management System (LMS).
• Perform testing and quality assurance to ensure compatibility across devices and browsers.
MULTIMEDIA DEVELOPMENT
• Produce professional instructional videos and screen recordings.
• Edit audio and video content.
• Develop graphics, icons, infographics, and visual learning assets.
• Coordinate voice-over recording and AI-generated narration as appropriate.
• Ensure consistent branding and visual standards across all learning materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3–5 years of experience designing corporate learning solutions.
• Experience developing eLearning using Articulate Storyline 360.
• Experience publishing SCORM-compliant courses.
• Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
